AuctionSound – Craigslist & eBay Listing Management Software I developed AuctionSound years ago after I saw a need for the eBay Auction Management software while running my own consignment store, The Online Outpost. I needed a simpler way to keep track of all my consignors and their items, what they sold for on eBay and what I needed to pay the consignors, among other things. What was created was a powerful software that pretty much ran the consignment business for you. It’s been a long time since I sold The Online Outpost and found success in marketing the AuctionSound software to eBay consignment stores worldwide and now I find myself giving the software a second look.
AuctionSound functions great and has a large user-base, but I still think it could be better. How? By doing more. Why limit the software to simply managing eBay listings when there are thousands of online marketplaces today? We’ve decided to expand our horizons with AuctionSound and started by integrating the software with Craigslist. Craigslist is free to post ads on, has been around since late 1997, is the 8th most visited site in the U.S. (#31 internationally) and has an average of 14 minutes spent on the site per user. So why not make it easy for our AuctionSound users to post there too? We just did!
Last week we released AuctionSound integrated with our Craigslist posting tool which allows users to post one, or all of their inventory on the popular classified ad site. Users can choose their metro area, appropriate categories, upload numerous photos and select from an array of custom HTML templates for a professional, polished looking online ad.
