When deliberating the perfect price point for your company’s product or service there are always many factors to consider: market cost, cost of production, technical/customer support, etc. After you’ve reached a decision on that price comes the fun part – testing it out on the market and seeing how it compares to competitors which may lead to a re-evaluation in pricing. I recently ran across a very interesting article that I want to share here on how smartphones are evaluated and why, across the board on all carriers, most can be found at the perfect price point of $199 (with a two-year contract, of course).
